Standard Day rates
Available on request and to be agreed prior to works:
Fixed Price works
Usually based on our estimate plus an uplift dependant on type of job, location, specification etc
Stage payments as set out and agreed in advance or by valuation by a suitably qualified contract administrator / surveyor
Discounted Cost plus Open Book
To be agreed prior to works:
Time and materials charged on an open book basis based on standard day rates less discount to be agreed in advance and dependant on job specification etc
Tenders
Available on application and largely dependent on quality of information supplied to include drawings, specification and schedule of works together with our availability and timings for the project. We normally require a minimum of 3 working weeks to return a tender submission.
We reserve the right to charge at cost for the production of tenders made when:
We do not receive a prompt (within 21 days) review of all tender submission totals (maximum of 4no Inc Berridge & Co)
We are not extended the courtesy of any further instruction and notice associated works have been awarded else ware
We are not given continued or further opportunity to compete when the scope of works are dramatically altered as a result of the initial set of tenders.

Statutory approvals are not fully in place
Payment Terms
All invoices to be paid in full within 7 days from invoice date unless agreed otherwise. (We pride ourselves in paying our suppliers and contractors within our agreed terms and therefore request the same courtesy from our clients. All work is undertaken on the basis that where an order is placed with Berridge & Co, the Client / Customer has secured all statutory approvals and accepts full liability for the same. Berridge & Co will act on the client’s instruction on the assumption that such approvals are in place. The absence of such approvals will not be a reason for non payment for any work undertaken.

Client / Customer’s responsibilities
The Client shall appoint appropriate consultants for any professional specialist services (Architect, Surveyor, Structural engineer or Planning Consultant) required in order to undertake the work quoted for and will additionally be responsible for ensuring that such professionals are qualified to undertake such services.
Berridge & Co cannot be responsible or liable for the work of the professional specialist service providers nor will they responsible for obtaining any statutory / local authority approvals in respect of planning permissions, building regulation approvals or other approvals for the work being undertaken.
